With a strong local presence and decades of industry experience, Uvel creates unique, custom made jewelry pieces and operates a growing network of retail locations. Their brand is trusted for quality, elegance, and precision.

The Challenge: Modernising a traditional jewelry business

Uvel approached us with a clear goal: to modernize its operations and build a more efficient, scalable digital infrastructure. Their existing tools were no longer able to support the growing complexity of their business. While they initially sought help with a few isolated technical challenges, it quickly became clear that what they really needed was a comprehensive digital transformation.

The project evolved into a full-scale overhaul of both their e-commerce presence and internal operations. Uvel needed a custom platform that could manage everything — from online sales and custom orders to real-time inventory tracking and in-house production workflows.

So, we did something about it:

Phase 1: Launching a modern jewelry e-commerce website

Our first step was building a professional and user-friendly online jewelry store. The goal was to create an attractive, fast-loading and fully responsive platform that could:

  • Accept online payments securely
  • Offer flexible shipping integrations
  • Allow customers to browse and customize products
  • Enable the Uvel team to manage content and product listings easily

Phase 2: Developing a custom CRM for jewelry production and retail

Uvel's real business challenge was behind the scenes — managing the entire jewelry manufacturing process, inventory and retail operations. We developed a custom- built CRM system specifically designed for the jewelry industry. This powerful backend platform is now the operational backbone of the business and includes the following modules:

Point-of-Sale (POS) System

  • Handles in-store payments via cash or card
  • Connects with barcode scanners, receipt printers, and fiscal devices
  • Accepts customer orders and provides full transaction tracking
  • Generates daily financial reports

Order Management

  • Supports online and in-store custom orders
  • Allows selection of materials, gemstones, sizes, and designs
  • Tracks the status of every order through production and delivery

Inventory Management

  • Real-time tracking of all materials (metals, stones, etc.)
  • Logs source, quantity, and usage for every inventory item
  • Prevents loss and improves accuracy in material forecasting

Jewelry Production Tracking

  • Manages workflows for custom and standard jewelry production
  • Handles customer-supplied materials (e.g., bringing in gold)
  • Tracks deadlines, required materials, and assignment of tasks to jewelers
  • Logs all stages of work — from raw material intake to finished piece

Live Business Reports & Analytics

  • Real-time dashboard with production and sales data
  • Helps management make fast, strategic decisions
  • Provides insights into store performance, staff efficiency, and order volume

This CRM is designed to be used by every employee, from the front desk cashier to the production workshop. It supports barcode scanning, label printing, POS integration, and full traceability across all business operations.

Beyond the numbers, the platform has significantly improved internal efficiency. Based on internal estimates, Uvel's team saves over 300 hours per month thanks to automation of manual tasks such as order tracking, inventory updates, and production coordination.
